Embogo lodges derives its name from the word “Embogo” meaning buffalo in the local Rukiga Dialect. The area where our lodge is located is a popular hangout for Buffalos and Elephants among other animals. The marshy grounds around the lodge offer an escape for buffalos to cover themselves in the mud giving them much needed relief from ticks and parasites.
